Coaching is a partnership between two individuals in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize professional and personal potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of professional, personal, and/or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals. The coaching process includes assessments, 1:1 sessions, tool-box building, and action planning. The intended, overall outcomes are an increased level of self-awareness, strength identification, and applying strengths to increase personal and professional success.
Gallup Strengths coaching is based on the Clifton Strengths assessment. The coach/coachee dive deeply into the coachee's strengths and how best to apply them. This coaching process includes the Gallup Strengths Assessment and three coaching sessions.
The first session is focused on learning to read the assessment results, exploring how the results apply in the coachee's world, and realizing the power of harnessing strengths.
Session two includes learning how to best utilize the coachee's strengths to create a professional and personal life most likely to reach their full potential.
The third session sets the stage for taking action and applying the lessons learned!
Team facilitation is similar to "training" but with a more people-focused approach. Workshops are customized after a needs-assessment to determine where the team currently is and where the team would like to go. Most workshops include a experiential-based learning activity followed by coach-led conversation.
The team coaching approach is more than a team building event. It is a methodology that supports change over time. The approach provides a new model that describes the conditions necessary to create sustainable, high performing teams. We train the team in this new model as we support the team in addressing the issues that are crucial to this team’s performance. The team skills and competencies members learn here are key to team success.
Specific outcomes include:
An assessment report that reveals a portrait of how the team sees itself. The report provides team scores in 7 areas that support the team’s ability to be productive and 7 areas that create the culture of the team. In the language of our model, we look at conditions that support productivity and conditions that support effective collaboration: positivity. The results in this report give the team clear direction for change.
Open and creative conversation about the mission, goals and priorities for this team on two levels: the compelling business issues and the dynamics of the team itself.
A “team contract” with rules of engagement for times when there is conflict or differences of opinion or approach; specific work on toxic communication styles and the antidotes for teams.
Training in listening with a “systems” ear to de-pressurize the environment as the team brings to the surface important underlying issues.
Transition from identifying problems and wallowing in them to developing and implementing solutions that resolve them. Action plans and an accountability structure to ensure follow through.
